Supporting Prevention, Education, and Youth Well-Being in York
YORKWISE provides funding to support substance use prevention, education, and youth well-being initiatives that serve students, families, and schools in the York community. Our goal is to invest in programs that strengthen protective factors, reduce risk, and create safe, supportive environments where young people can thrive.
We welcome funding requests from schools and community organizations whose work aligns with our mission and values.
WHAT WE FUND
YORKWISE prioritizes funding for initiatives that:
Focus on drug and alcohol prevention, education, and awareness
Support mental health, connection, and youth well-being
Serve York-based youth and families
Are evidence-informed or grounded in proven best practices
Demonstrate clear impact, thoughtful planning, and responsible use of funds
Promote equity, inclusion, and access
Funding may support one-time programs, ongoing initiatives, pilot projects, or community-wide events.
